What does the error message say?
In the backend, click on \"Configuration\", then click on the tab \"info\".
Set ->Minimum access level to place ads to \"Administrators\"

Thanks for the help, I\'ve installed the newest version from your site and .... I still cannot upload pictures. When I do there is an error message at the bottom left of the browser, so there is definitely something not right!

Also can I set the classifieds so that the public can see them but only administrators can add advertisements?

You are using an old version (1.5.36) of KISS Advertiser. Please download the new version 1.5.38 from our download area and reinstall the component.
